Winter Flowers

Days are short. Winter skies are grey and heavy. Frost and snow nips at our heels. It’s time for flowers!

My holiday cactus doesn’t typically bloom on a schedule. Some years it’s around the holidays and some years it’s July. I am beginning December with a lovely show and I’ll take it!

December for me is a cozy month of hot cups of tea, a good book, brisk walks in the snow, and a bit of Christmas shopping. The garden is on pause (more so this year with this whomping snow). The indoor garden, though, is blooming.

It’s a nice reminder that flowers are always in season and you deserve to have a little floral magic any time. Plus, it’s Dinocember, so the critters are out and about.
